Does any Indian online shopping cart accept international credit or debit cards?

Answer 1:

I have had very bad experiences involving Indian merchants and foreign credit cards. Only Amazon India, so far, has processed my transaction through my Bank of America credit card successfully. eBay India did accept initially, but then they declined the transaction apparently because they thought that it was a case of fraud (they didn’t anticipate someone from outside India buying their crap). Flipkart, Snapdeal, Shopclues, Jabong, no one accepts international cards. This is as frustrating as it is an annoyance. What the merchants don’t understand is how much they are losing out in business because of this.

Answer 2:

Amazon India accepts international creditcard from Europe, USA and Japan. I have ordered hundreds of products for my family in India with German Mastercard and every product was original, delivered on or before time and the packaging was excellent and protective. Amazon works mostly with its own courier called Amazon Transportation Service because of many Indian couriers being un-reliable and not trustworthy like Bluedart and First Flight courier, as well as DTDC. Amazon India is the very best !!!Nearly all other companies in India I contacted accept only Indian creditcard even PayTM, Snapdeal and Flipcart are useless because either they ask for Indian mobile number to send confirmation SMS or accept only Indian credit cards. Also, Times of India and YuppTV accept international creditcard, but they don’t have any tangible products only services (like their online editon or Hindi channel live TV).

Answer 4:

How you accept payments does not depend on your shopping cart, it depends on your payment gateway provider. Just make sure the payment gateway provider you use accepts international cards & you should be good to go!

Answer 5:

As Sambhav mentioned that it is not Card but the Payment Gateway has the facility to accept International Credit or debit Card. PayZippy from Flipkart, Amazon, CC Avenue, EBS, PayTm are some of the following who accept International Credit Cards.
